Anyway, I have a serious case of Gingerbreadman-Itis. So watch out! It might be contagious! :)
I am loving this time off but I am also looking forward to the school year. I know that my kids will love what I have in store! I made this HUGE ELA unit. It's so big I decided to go to the library to print it all. I paid 5 cents per page (over 100 pages!) and I put it all in a big binder along with the "stuff" to go with it.

Story Time:
These are the stories that I have lined up for the week:
Day 1: The Gingerbread Man by Karen Schmidt
Day 2: The Gingerbread Man Loose in the School by Laura Murray
Day 3: The Gingerbread Girl by Lisa Campbell Ernst
Day 4: Maisy Makes Gingerbread by Lucy Cousins
Can you see where I'm going with this one? :)

Circle Time:
I made a little Gingerbread Man doll to pass around during, "Who Stole the Cookie from the Cookie Jar?" There's a link to the pattern in the unit. I bought the supplies to make it from my local fabric store for about $5. I also plan to make a Gingerbread Girl.
Dramatic Play:
Do you think this will help my little ones with retelling the story?
Here's a clue, the answer is Yes!

Gingerbread Letter Mats from A-Z
There's a link to a really cute recipe for Gingerbread Playdough. I haven't tried it yet but that's what I plan to use.
That's just a sample of what I've been up to.
If you like what you see, or if you've caught my Gingerbreadman-Itis :),
